Hair History - Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston has been in the public eye since she was cast as Rachel Green in the comedy sitcom Friends. Her relationship, marriage and divorce with Brad Pitt were in the press and in the public eye. But Aniston has always been consistent in one thing; her beautiful hair.


I'm going to be looking and some of the styles that Aniston has had over the years.


In 1995, Aniston not only became famous for her role as Rachel Green, but also her hair. The style was known as the 'shag' or as the 'Rachel' and is considered the most copied hairstyle ever. Here is Aniston (see left) at the Pediatric Aids Foundation annual picnic.


In 1997, Aniston's hair was longer and still full of volume. This style is used throughout her career as an actress. She is pictured here (see right) at the premiere of Picture Perfect.


This style in 1999 is the most controversial Aniston has ever gone. The twisted strands of hair remind me of a free-spirited hippy, but Aniston can pull it off... just. Not my favourite style for her. This picture (see left) is Aniston at the 51st Annual Emmy Awards.


However in 2001, Aniston cuts her beautiful locks into a bob and looks sophisticated and stunning. This hairstyle will be known for her Friends character Rachel when she discovered she was pregnant at her friend's wedding. She is pictured (see right) at the People's choice award.


In 2002, Aniston was seen wearing her growing hair casually, which is how she is recognised today. This picture is when she was at the Emmy awards and took an award home (see left).


Fast forwarding to 2005, we see Aniston's soft and sleek curls. This was when she had broken up with husband, Brad Pitt. Look what he was missing out on! Here she is at the Derailed premiere (see right).
